Equilibrium is political thriller based upon current fact, in which the US is suffering from a weak president, political corruption and financial recession in which the debt ceiling has been reached; with much of the debt being held by the US’s rival and growing power, China. The financial crisis has led to massive. Hidden cut-backs, in particular to home defence, in order to maintain overseas, military operations.
